All entries and edits to your World Cup bracket must be completed by the start of the tournament’s first game on Friday, June 11, 2010. After this date, no changes to your bracket can be made.
Only one entry is allowed per account to be eligible for the cash prize.
The bracket game lasts for the duration of the World Cup. The World Cup is a month long tournament with games starting on June 11, 2010. The Championship game is played on July 11, 2010.
The World Cup Bracket Game allows the player to accrue points in each round of the bracket, awarding the player with the most points at the end of the game as the winner. Visit the details page for all scoring details.
There are five rounds in the FIFA World Cup. The tournament begins with the 8 different groups (A-H), each having a round-robin tournament. This means every team will play each other team in turn. The top two teams in each group after the round-robin group tourney advance to the second round. From the second round on, the tournament becomes single elimination and the 2010 World Cup Champion is crowned on July 11, 2010.
Fantazzle has set-up some very unique ways of determining a winner in case of a tie. In case of a tie, the team that accumulates the most points in our tiebreaker will win. You can earn points by playing additional Fantazzle Fantasy Sports games under the same account name, and by earning FanStock points. Tiebreaker points will accumulate from the start of the game on June 11, to the end on July 11. If there is a tie, the team that receives the most points in our tie-breaking system will be determined the 2010 World Cup Bracket champ. If there is still a tie, the winners will equally split the prize that they have won. In addition, if there is a tie for 1st place, then those two winners will split equally first and second prize.
You can follow scoring of Fantazzle's World Cup Bracket game throughout the duration of the tournament. The bracket scores will be updated after each tournament day. Go to the World Cup Standings page to view how many bracket points and tiebreaker points you have received.
To refer a friend for the World Cup Bracket Game, or for Fantazzle games in general, you must first have your own account activated. Once your account is active, go to the Refer Friends page, and refer as many friends as you would like. For each friend that you refer for the World Cup Bracket game, you will earn 1 additional point, which will be added to your overall score for the World Cup Bracket Game. There is a maximum of 100 ponts that can be earned for referring friends.
In addition, when you refer a friend, they must create a Fantazzle account AND confirm their email address. If they do not confirm their email address you will not receive points towards you score and you will not receive tie-breaker points in the form of FanStock.
